Although the season is hard for some people because the temperature is becoming colder, the world getting darker (shorter days) among others, there are so many fun things to do this season. Like collecting leaves, or drinking apple cider. So I thought I'd share a list of fun things to do this coming fall!
A little known fact about me is that fall is one of my favorite seasons. Overall, there's something about it that makes me happy about the season. Fall is the opposite of spring, where the latter is all about the world coming to life again while the former is about the world slowing down and getting ready for winter.
This summer was extremely hot and humid, so I'm more than a little ready to start fall. Like I've mentioned before I have family staying with us and this will be their first fall in Canada so I thought it'd be a great idea to plan some activities that they'll remember that encompasses the ideal fall season. As I was writing down what would be some fun things to do, I came up with this post!
Here are some 18 things to do this coming fall
1. Get lost in a corn maze
2. Take some fall pictures. The perfect time to take autumn photos is when the leaves have changed their color and are starting to fall to the ground.
5. Transition your summer wardrobe into fall.
6. Change the decor in your house. Add some leaves or other fall items to make it more in season, if desired.

7. This is the perfect time to plan Thanksgiving dinner (if you're in Canada) if in the U.S you can wait until next month to do this step.
10. Sew, or knit a scarf.
11. Go on a fall scavenger hunt which will be a great way to see how nature is changing.
12. Rake the leaves on your fall yard into a huge pile and jump into it.

13. Bake an apple pie/cobbler.
14. Write a thankful list
16. Bake pumpkin bread.
17. Go on a hayride.
18. Sit in your front porch, or on a bench at the park, with a blanket in your lap and a cup of hot apple cider (or tea if you prefer) and just gaze at the changes going on in nature.
That's it! Those are all the fun things to do this coming autumn. Most of these are family-friendly and fun for all ages, this could also be a great time to start a family tradition!
Some of the activities I've done before and others I've always wanted to do with my family. So I hope this year I'll use the season to its full advantage!
One of the things that may affect the outcome of doing these activities is the weather. I hope that the weather will cooperate this year and that it'll be Hallmark movie perfect!
